    Barak Engel

    Pioneered the vCISO (virtual/fractional Chief Information Security Officer) model two decades ago.

    Author of “Why CISOs Fail” (2017) - inducted into the Cybercannon in 2021 - and “The Security Hippie” (2022).

    Barak serves as advisor to multiple boards, providing critical technology, risk, product and market insights. He is also a founding and board member of the Theia Institute.

    He was appointed Head of Security (or CSO) for Webex in 2001. Since then, he has built, led, and supported security teams with countless organzations across many verticals, such as MuleSoft, Amplitude Analytics, Livenation/Ticketmaster, StubHub, Barnes and Noble, BetterUp, and bebe Stores.

  • IDF Col (ret.) Professor Isaac Ashkenazi, MD

    Professor Ashkenazi is an international expert on disaster management and leadership, community resilience, mass casualty events and epidemics with both extensive professional and academic experience. He is considered one of the world’s foremost experts in medical preparedness for complex emergencies and disasters.

    Ashkenazi is the former Director of the Urban Terrorism Preparedness Project at the NPLI Harvard University. He is also a Professor of Disaster Medicine at Ben-Gurion University in Israel.

    Advisory Board of Israel Homeland Security; and a consultant to Harvard University, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FEMA, the White House, the World Bank, High Threat Institute US, Tactical Combat Casualty Care US, Rio Olympic Games, and other national and international agencies.

    Ashkenazi served as the Surgeon General for the IDF Home Front Command.
